Meet GAGE: A lifelike conversation. A working GTM agent.

Watching Piper—the AI SDR from Qualified, now part of Salesforce—demoed on the Dreamforce main stage got us thinking: could we build a similar experience for AX Mechanics?

Natural conversation. A lifelike animated avatar. Fast, streamed voice responses. The ability to interrupt, ask a follow-up, or change direction. Preferably without a Dreamforce-sized budget.

Meet GAGE (Beta), our AI presales agent, now live on axmechanics.ai.

Built to engage buyers—and move the sale forward

Speak with GAGE and the exchange feels conversational. Responses start quickly, you can interrupt, and the avatar brings a face to the interaction. Prefer typing? The same agent works through text.

GAGE draws on a curated knowledge base that gives it a deep understanding of our practice, offers, and where each engagement fits. It approaches discovery the way a good presales person should: answer questions, understand the situation, and recommend a relevant next step. It can help a marketing or revenue leader explore a GTM challenge without turning the exchange into a qualification form.

That experience is connected to the systems where prospecting work happens.

    GAGE can:

    • Look up contacts and companies in Attio, bringing existing CRM context into the conversation and using available website visitor identification signals.
    • Run our FREE AI Visibility Scanner, starting a free assessment of how often a company appears in AI-generated buyer answers.
    • Bring up Calendly, so an interested visitor can book a strategy session with the practice lead.
    • Update the CRM with company, contact, and lead information, create follow-up tasks, and leave a summary of the exchange for sales.

The visitor gets answers and a useful next step. Sales gets the context to continue: who the prospect is, what they’re trying to solve, what was discussed, and what needs to happen next.

We built GAGE because we wanted this capability in our own business–AI connected to company knowledge, business tools, and a defined GTM workflow.

The voice and avatar make the interaction engaging. The integrations make it productive. And the foundation can be adapted to another organization’s offers, CRM, tools, and sales process.

Give GAGE a try. Hit us up if you’d like a similar agent for your GTM.

    Questions GTM Leaders Are Asking

    What is GAGE?

GAGE is the AX Mechanics AI presales agent. It engages website visitors through voice or text, answers questions, explores their GTM challenges, and recommends a relevant next step. It also acts: looking up CRM context, running a free AI Visibility Assessment, helping visitors book a strategy session, and updating our CRM for sales follow-up.

    What makes the experience lifelike?

GAGE combines natural speech, fast streamed responses, and an animated video avatar. Visitors can interrupt, ask follow-up questions, or change direction without waiting for a scripted response to finish. The experience also depends on conversational judgment: answering before asking, keeping discovery focused, and recognizing when it’s time to offer a next step.

How does GAGE know our business and offers?

GAGE draws on a curated knowledge base covering our practice, engagement frameworks, services, and fit criteria. That gives it context to explain which engagement fits a visitor’s situation and why. The knowledge base also defines boundaries: approved terminology, claims it can make, and offers it should never recommend.

How does GAGE use CRM and website visitor information?

GAGE can look up existing contacts and companies in Attio and use available website visitor identification signals to bring context into the exchange. Identification has limits: recognizing a company does not establish the identity of an individual visitor. GAGE confirms personal details through the conversation rather than guessing a name from an email address or company signal.

What tools can GAGE actually use?

GAGE connects to Attio, Calendly, and AX Scout, our AI Visibility Scanner. It can check existing CRM relationships, start a free AI Visibility Assessment, present a prefilled calendar, capture lead information, and show a relevant engagement page. These integrations let the conversation move directly into a useful action while the visitor is engaged.

What does sales receive after the conversation?

GAGE updates company, contact, and lead information in the CRM, creates follow-up tasks, and leaves a concise summary of the exchange. Sales can pick up with the prospect’s situation, interests, and agreed next step already in view. That handoff is a core part of the workflow, giving the conversation value beyond the website visit.

What does the free AI Visibility Assessment tell a prospect?

The assessment screens for how often a company is mentioned and cited when buyers ask AI assistants about its category, across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews. GAGE can start the assessment during the conversation, with the full report delivered by email. It is a screener rather than a diagnostic, and thin evidence is reported as inconclusive.

How do you keep GAGE accurate and on task?

GAGE has defined knowledge, permitted actions, and enforced response boundaries. Tool inputs are checked against information the visitor actually provided. We also replay scripted conversations against the live agent to check its responses, tool use, screen behavior, and endings, alongside listening tests that verify the spoken experience.

Could we build a similar agent for our GTM?

Yes. GAGE’s conversational foundation is separate from the knowledge, tools, and rules that make it specific to AX Mechanics. A similar agent can be configured around your offers, qualification approach, CRM, and follow-up workflow. The starting point is defining the prospecting job you want it to perform and the handoff your sales team needs.
